Question Can I export data into a .csv?

Our graphics and marketing manager has asked me to create two .csv docs out of two different excel spreadsheets. The info is all text (contact information) so there are no formulas to consider, but I can't puzzle out how to turn the data I have into a .csv.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks,

    Click File > SaveAs
Enter a filename (with no extension)
In the SaveAs type: box just below the filename box, select CSV
    Click OK

    Thank you JBeaucaire,

I just followed the steps that you suggested and got the following error message:

"GNGPromoEmail.csv may contain features that are not compatible with CSV (Comma delimited).

Do you want to keep the workbook in this format?

-To keep this format, which leaves out any incompatible features, click Yes.

-To preserve the features, click No. Then save a copy in the latest Excel format."

I've tried clicking yes which simply changed the name of the workbook my original data is held in w/o changing the format. I've tried clicking No and it takes me back to the previous window ("Save As" window). Did I miss something?

Thanks for your help so far. I appreciate any further help you might be able to give.

    Thanks again,
    Michael

.CSV should save all the fields with just their current values, not the formulas that created them. This is a good thing.

When you get the warning, just say yes. And name the saveAs file, too.

You'll get another warning if you have more than one sheet. Make sure the one you want saved is visible so that is the one that gets saved.
