returning first entry in row with blanks, undetermined start

    =LOOKUP(9.99999999E+307,K252:EJ252)
returns the last entry in the row.

    What returns the first one?

I get the feeling this is simple, so I apologize in advance for not being able to figure it out on my own.

Row has blanks, first entry may be in any column.

    TIA

    Try

    =INDEX(K252:EJ252,MATCH(TRUE,INDEX(K252:EJ252<>"",0),0))
