Protecting a range of cells (with password)

    Hello everybody!

Is out there anyone so kind to tell me how to add a password to protect only a range of cells, leaving the rest of the worksheet unprotected?

    Thank you very much
    Seph

P.s. I am referring to excel 2003 version

I think this is what you are after

When you protect a sheet, all cells that are locked are protected. Sooo before you protect the sheet select the cells that you want not to be protected and choose format on the home tab and in the menu select the lock button this will let you make changes in the cells that are unlocked when you protect the sheet.
Yes it will. we just have to figure out how...
