Exclamation create league table :: enter result :: update table

    Peace All,
I dunno how to start, first I would like to thank you all, and the admins as well for all the help you are offering here.

I'm working on a sheet that has a following,
-League (soccer) table, with the rating for each team (done).

what i want to do is,
-submit a result between 2 teams (from the results, i can get the new rating for each team, and to update the league table).

now what i have done is, i have the formula, to calculate the rating, so i have 4 cells, 2 cells to put the old ratings for each team, and the new ratings for them will come out in the other 2 cells.

my problem is i dunno how to update the rating in the table, with the new value, not speaking of updating all the info in the table yet.

I have tried to do that in my own, but i have spent alot of time, and i couldn't make it work yet.

well i made the problem into small parts,
1- vlookup : which i was successful to use this function, to call all the info for any team i want.
so now i have a row with all the info for a team,
2- applying the formula, i can get a new row of info, the new information,
3- now how can i update the new info to the old info in the table.

basically, what i want to do is,
league table with rating for each team
i need to have an input form (or way) to put the results,
i need the table to be updated based on the results (some data has a formula to be updated).

hope anyone could help me, i have tried to do that with access, but i got stuck as well, and i think excel would be better, i tried to look for a software who could do it, but non is out there, so it is nice to learn

    thanks all

I suppose you've got a workbook we can look at to try and match up to what you described above?
