    copy and paste question

i have two excel applications open, each with a spreadsheet. i have to copy and paste (using shortcut ctrl+c and ctrl+v) from one to the other. However,
ctrl+v only produce blank cell but not the text that i want to paste. I have to manually select paste special and paste as text in order for it to work. I have to do this copy and paste numerous times a day, just want to see if anyone knows a way to fix this problem?

i have no problem doing this when using excel 2003 or if i have two spreadsheets in one excel application.

    thanks!

Not sure about what it is in your setup config that is causing this, but since PasteSpecial Values does what you want, record a macro to do that and assign the keyboard shortcut Ctrl-Shift-V so you have access to that at all times.

Ctrl-Shift-V is as convenient as Ctrl-V and very useful, yes?
