2nd row data move to 2nd column

This is my first post and am totally ignorant in excel. Using 2003 vs and need to move the FROM THE DATA BELOW, TO THE DATA ABOVE-- FROM THREE ROWS TO TWO AFTER YOU DELETE DUPS, THEN GET THE 2ND ROW DATA TO SHOW UP IN THE 2ND COLUMN...I have deleted the dupes and need to move data below pt # to second column. Is there a formula rather than cust and pasting?

Can you post up a small sample? Your description is hard to follow.

Are you asking how to take a row of cells and copy them, and paste them into a COLUMN instead of another row? If so, that called TRANSPOSING and is built in, like so:

Highlight the cells in a row, and CTRL-C to copy them.
Click on the top cell in the column where you want the transposition to start.
Click on Edit > Paste Special > Transpose and click OK.

The data will appear in the columnar format.
