Linking pivot tables, or forcing dynamic filtering, or writing macros and VBA code.

    Greetings.

Back in the day, we had "data", "query", "extract". It was useful for a lot of things. Now we have "data", "advanced filter". I've done quite a bit of work on an excel 2007 project using a pivot table, and some nifty formulas:

    =GETPIVOTDATA("Qty Rejected",'Pivot Table'!$D$4,"Audit Description","QA Audits","Audit Month",MONTH($H$5))

-- but I sure could use some help. I've attached a PDF file to help explain what I am trying to figure out.

See the detail lines under the headings of QC Audit and Internal Audit?

There's got to be a way to do this automatically. I'm willing to send the entire excel file if need be, or if you need additional information.
