When I create a copy of a worksheet the new worksheet references the old worksheet.
I use Edit->Replace to change references in the new worksheet from the old worksheet to the new worksheet.
Is there a better way to do it?

how are you creating copy?
in my version of excel right clicking tab and using the move/copy option
does not change references i.e. if sheet 1 a1 has =b1 in it the new one sheet1 (2) simply has =b1 in it not =sheet1!b1
Hi Martin,
Whoops! Shot myself in the foot again. I should have pointed out that I am copying from a different workbook so that the old workbook is referenced in the copied worksheet in the new workbook.
So therefore when I use Edit->Replace to change references in the new worksheet I merely remove the old work sheet reference. [Copies of the referenced worksheets are present in the new workbook.]
My question still stands. Apologies for wasting your time by sending you down a blind alley.
