    List Question

I am working on a project and have a question.

I am trying to create an interactive/user friendly sheet in order to determine information on forage species for cattle.

My goal is for there to be a drop down list that contains the information in the "Forage Species" column. After selecting the particular species the corresponding information will also be displayed. I need to be able to select multiple species.

If at all possible, the easiest solution would be the best. I have to teach the process to several of my coworkers...some of which would be very confused with VBA/macro's etc.

I appreciate the help, in advance!

    Re: List Question

So you are trying to create a separate sheet that the user selects items from drop down list containing those Species in Sheet1?
Where there is a will there are many ways.

    Re: List Question

You can use Dynamic Named Ranges, Data Validation & VLOOKUP.

For explanations of Data Validation & VLOOKUP look at

    Re: List Question

Sort of. It doesn't necessarily have to be a seperate sheet.

    short scenario:
The species are listed on sheet one, this is the user friendly version. They choose whatever species they need for their project. The results that they choose will eventually be displayed on a nice, tidy, and printable format on a seperate sheet.

So the data table, and the cell with the listing feature, can be on the same sheet.

I hope my explanation is not too confusing.
