Converting 1900 date system to text

    Firstly
How do you convert a range of dates in this format:
    39843 (i.e today 30th of Jan 2009)

    To text like:
    20080130

    Secondly,
For the same date, how do you make the weeknum function give answer '05' and not just '5'

Thanks a lot for reading this thread.

    See the TEXT function

If you do want the date value as a TEXT String
Please Login or Register to view this content.
Note you could achieve the same with a custom format of YYYYMMDD on A1 itself and the underlying value would persist as a number

To get the WEEKNUM to return 05 as a TEXT String
Please Login or Register to view this content.
Note again you could achieve the same "appearance" using a custom format of 00 and the underlying value would persist as a number (5))
