Data Labels show as % instead actual value - How to help

See xls file. I have this chart and the data labels are percentages instead of the actual value. How did these get that way? Under Chart Options there is a autotext box that is there but if I uncheck it, the data labels go back to the actual dollar value and that autotext box goes away.

I am totally baffeled by this despite serach the help, the internet and this forum. I am sure it is something easy I am missing.

Can some one provide some color on this?

I cut this from a larger book with many tabs because I am not able to send out the entire thing (proprietary).

    Thank you for your help.

    Cheers,
    Todd

The fact that the Autotext is not checked would suggest some one or some code changed the data label content.

Probably the same person who fixed the value axis so the negative value does not display

The automatic text under chart options is checked. Isn't it?

    No.

Automatic text would have a tickmark
Non automatic text the checkbox appears blue.

Now I am really confused. If you open my example right click and go to chart options -->Data Lables, the Automatic Text box is green/checked. At least that is how I see it.

    Correct?

    Andy,

You are a genius. I thought that they were linked to some piece of data (other than the actual data charted). I now appears that they were just edited.

Thanks for your help with this and your willingness to clearly explain it.

    Cheers,
    Todd
