is it possible to find a string or data in a set of pdf files?

I Need to extract information automatically from a set of pdf,, lets say I have 3 pdf files named. f-1.pdf, f-2.pdf, f-3.pdf and I need to extract a value inside the f-2.pdf file. that string will be something like "force A =100lb"
I need to extract that 100.

I found a way to extract the text form pdf to text file, I would have to do this manually or find a way to automate this too, but still cant find how to make Excel to read an external file.
