betting odds combinations,

Hi, I`m trying to set up a formula to work out betting combinations, ie any 2 results from 3 selections = ( a x b ) + ( a x c ) + ( b x c ).

Is there an easy way to do this using the COMBIN and PERMUT functions for x amount of results from y amount of selections?.
