Hello All,

I'm quite the beginner with excel, and I've searched for hours and hours today for a solution to my problem.

I'm using Excel 2007 on Vista Ultimate at home, but this worksheet is for work which uses Excel 2003 on XP and Windows 2000 (Depending on the computer people want to use)

Basically I want to be able to use the same password for different ranges. I've setup different ranges with the same password, but turns out once you entered the password in one range, every other range becomes unlocked.

I want to be able to have the same password but for different ranges and if someone needs to change a different range they will be prompted for that same password.

For example :

Password = 1234

A1,C1,D1,E1 is one range named "Range1"

A5,C5,D5,E5 is a different range named "Range2"

Someone wants to enter data into Range1 and gets prompted for the password but after that the person wants to enter data into Range2 and gets prompted for the same password he entered earlier for Range1

I hope you understand that.

Sorry if this has been posted before, but I have been searching all over the internet.

Thanks

Yatty
