I'm noticing that all excel worksheets I use in 2003 are nice and fast...but if I use them in 2007(especially ones that do a lot of math) are really slow..
I have one workbook...8 pages of hidden math, 2 pages of graphing...really painfully slow in 2007, but pretty darn fast in 2003...
what do I need to do to fix 2007 to make it fast like 2003...
and is there really anything I need in 2007 that I couldn't do without in 2003?
IMO, the changes in 2007 are cosmetic -- some very nice, but cosmetic -- at the expense of performance and a fair number of bugs. I have become modestly competent in 2007, but use it only when beaten.

I like the changes to the Tables/Lists in 2007, they seem to break less for me than the ones in 2003! and the new table formulas make it easier to deal with data!
When I first saw 2007 and the new ribbon, I was annoyed at it since I figured it was designed for beginners, not experienced users, now 3 years later i realise how much easier I find it after having to use Excel 2003 again!
I do most of my sheets in 2007 then retro them to older versions (i have excel 4.0,5.0,95,97,2000,2002,2003,2007 installed in a virtual machine).
Hopefully Excel 14 will be faster!
