Apologies if I get this wrong as I am totally new to forum activity. I can use EXCEL however get stuck when formula gets complicated.
I am trying to create a formula to count the number of time the word "NEW" appears in one column, provided the result of another column gives a certain answer. Sample of my problem and question in detail on attached.

In E4:
=SUMPRODUCT(--($C$25:$C$50=$B4),--($D$25:$D$50="NEW"))
in D10:
=SUMPRODUCT(--($E$25:$E$50=$B10),--($F$25:$F$50=$D$9))
both copied down
