linking data columns to another spreadsheet

    hi,

i have 1 column of data in an excel spreadsheet (output by labview), and it will vary in length depending on the amount of samples taken.

i'm trying to import the max value of the column into another spreadsheet, but can't seem to figure out how since the length of the column will vary.

    please help!

    Hi,

Can't you just take the MAX of the whole column? =MAX(A:A)

If not, you will need a dynamic range,

    =MAX(OFFSET(A1,0,0,COUNT(A:A),1))

Where A1 is the fist cell containing a value
    Rule 1: Never merge cells
    Rule 2: See rule 1
