Link only works when link workbook is open

    Link only works when link workbook is open

    This is happening all of a sudden and is inconsistent.

    Workbook A linked to Workbook B and the link only works when the linked Workbook B is open.

    Workbook A linked to Workbooks C D E F G, etc (lots of links) and they all work JUST FINE!

    This is happening in more than one workbook where all link failing files are NOT related.

    Some (lots) of functions only work with open workbooks.
