    Excel & Powerpoint

    Hey all,

Did a bit a searching and didn't find what I was looking for. Basically I'm looking to see if anyone can tell me more about the relationship of Excel and Power point when it comes to graph, the data behind the graph in excel, and formatting. A bit problem I'm having with power point is that the color palette will not keep any of the changes that I make to the custom colors. Every single graph I have to click on the tool menu, add the new custom color code, then select the color. Rinse and Repeat for the next graph all over again. My understanding was that excel was tied to power point in some of these aspect and was curious if anyone can confirm. I've made all the changes to my personal.xls file and template files in the right directory and I'm come to a conclusion that changes to defaults in excel don't translate over.

    Any suggestion?

You may find Echo's information on colour schemes and Powerpoint useful

Thanks for the heads up, but that looks to be surrounding the templates as a whole. I'm looking more to the color palette that surrounds a way to permanently change the bottom 8 custom colors.

That links shows a photo of the custom colors I'm looking at.

It descibes altering the top 8 colours so if there is no detail on the bottom 8 that would suggest that it is not possible to control in a similar manner.

Is that "Colour management for excel" dialog a built-in dialog or some sort of addin?
