Does anyone know how I can move certain cells to the left just a little?

Hi

I am using excel 2003, and would like to move some cells (containing an address) to the left just a little, so that they align with the window of a window envelope, without affecting the whole column.

Does anyone know if this is possible, and if so, I would be grateful if you could share this with me!

You mean you want to move just a few cells in a column to the left, while leaving the rest of the column intact? If so... you can't take cells out of a column. But you can play with merging cells. Or you could just place a text box where the address window is...

Thanks very much, I have had a play around with that, and that partly solves my problem, (well the alignement part of it). Do you know if is possible to add formulas to a text box? The reason for this is that I want to add the address into this box, which is already shown on my worksheet, but as this is a template for an invoice, the address changes for each customer, so if I could add a simple formula such as =A1, =A2, =A3 and so on, that would be superb.

I hope you are able to solve that for me too!

I didn't think it was possible, but I wanted to check help files first, and it appears to be! Click on the text box, press F2 to edit the formula. It looks like you can only link cells and you can't perform other formulas in the text box though, so the text box depends on the cell it's linked to to get data.
