    Column A has disappeared

I have a workbook with several tabs. All are OK apart from one in which the column A is missing. If i insert a new column it just creates a new column B. I cannot scroll any further to the left.
I can however type A1 etc in the name box and the cursor will go there but appears as a very thin vertical line.
Its not really a problem but i am intrigued as to how this could happen or indeed how it can be solved. Thanks

Select whole column from B to the LEFT and right click -> Unhide

No it just wont pick up col A. Incidentaly, if i highlight col b, the name box says "a". It should read B1 etc. Thanks for trying

Check Menu "Window > Unfreeze Panes" to ensure this isn't the problem.
