Populating cell with a letter

Hello All,

I think this one will be pretty easy for you experts.

I have a colum with 350 cells in use, each of these cells contain a 3 digit number. Without having to go into each cell and type is there a way i can put the letter "R" infront of each of the 3 digit numbers?

Add new column and put this formula:

="R"&A1

(IF you need in same row, after that copy-paste spetial -> Values)

Thank you for the quick reply.

Sorry mate, i'm a real novice with excel. Does the A1 at the end of the formula reference the column with 3 digit numbers in. The column with the 3 digit numbers in is part of a 4 column table. I'm adding the formula in a seperate column but its just populating that cell with the letter "R".
