    Vlookup across multiple columns

    Hi,

    If I have the following on a worksheet

    MATCHID# | Team | MATCHID# | Team
    1 | Mai Tai | 5 | Metro Dodgers
    2 | Gremlins | 6 | Wii Not Fit
    3 | FooFighters | 7 | Rockets
    4 | Cougars | 8 | Neverminds

    And on another worksheet I want to list all these in order in just two columns, how would I do this using vlookup (or whetever else)?

    I should also mention that these columns are quite far apart (about 15 columns spread between each list) and there are actually 4 lists.

    Any help appreciated!

    Why don't you just manually move them into 2 columns?

    Mallycat has hit the nail on the head...

    If for whatever reason revising the layout is not viable you could use INDEX to do this but we would need to have a better idea as to the physical layout - ie which column holds the first MATCHID# etc...
