    HLOOKUP with data validation lists ??

    I have a chart of monthly expenses and have three data validation lists to pick which month and which expense. How do I write a HLOOKUP function that will give me an expense amount from the chart based on which month and expense was picked from the data validation list?

    How exactly is the chart set up? and what are each of the 3 data validation lists choosing?
