    I'm trying to build this formula, no luck so far. Example: I get paid $15/hr for a part time position, up to a maximum of $43/day. How do I build a formula to show the total due to me if I work 3 hours, and the maximum of $43 due to me if I work 5 hours? Hope you understand my question, and thanks!

    Hi Randy,

    Enter this in the following cells:

    A1: 15
    B1: 43
    A4: 3
    B4: =MIN($A$1*A4,$B$1)

    Change the number in cell A4 to whatever number of hours you worked during the day.
