I try to do something.. Don't know did I make it.. please, try and test it.

Only thing is that first word must be longer and first letter of first word must be correct.

So apple 1.st word and aple 2.
    and
gpple and apple will return missing a, so you must write it correct...

I think perhaps you should repeat, perhaps 1000 times :-

"I will learn manners, and be greatful for free help"

By annoying valuable members of this community and reposting the same question although you have been given the best solution, will only result in either nobody wanting to help or you being removed from the forums?

many members of this forum are Excel experts and earn a living from it by charging consultancy fees, even though I have used spreadsheets for over 22 years and have made a living from it in the past I still apreciate the $/£ value of their help in places where I have a knowledge gap.

Please take time to concider the value of this rescource and the great community serive that it affords its members.

I will repeat the question till i get the answer.
that is not quite the etiquette is it?
however to compare 2 cells as you ask is a possible.
    there you go
    question answered
if you want a fuller answer give more examples of what you really want to achieve
how many characters would you want to find
would they always be missing from the same place
or anywhere in the word e.g pple, appe, appl, and so on

Thumbs up Re: Comparision of 2 cells

    Dear Friend,

Only after repeating the same question. I got a suberb input from Mr.Zbor.

Once again i thank Mr.Zbor. I was searching for the answer for past one week. At last i got it.

The reason why i have repeated the question is, the people are not seeing the older threads. They are focussing on new threads only.

So to get the attention of the members i have done this. Sorry if anybody got disturbed.

Though you got disturbed i got the answer. Thats it.... Thanks a lot to the forum..
