    help tying cells together

New user so sorry in advance for my lack of excel knowledge.
Is there a formula to fill empty cells to the cell above. Please see attachment. I need to fill lines 2 thru 11 with the same value that is in cell 1. Thank you,

    Re: help tieing cells together

First, get rid of cell merging..

Select all rows and go to Format|Cells >> Alignment tab and make sure Merge Cells is unchecked and clear.

    Then

Select column A and then hold the CTRL key and select A1.

Then go to Edit|Go To and click Special....select Blanks and click Ok.

enter an = sign and hit the up arrow key.

Hold the CTRL key again and hit ENTER.

Repeat for each Column you want to do this with.
Where there is a will there are many ways.
