Excel 2007 : Labelling Data Points on a Scatter Plot

My data is:

Obs x y
1 4 6
2 6 10
3 9 11

How can I create a scatter plot and label the points with the observation #?

I know this can be done with vba but I am looking for a spreadsheet solution.

You would need to create a series for each set of points. The you can use the Series Name in the data label.

There is a free addin to do this, which uses vba, but does not require code in the actual workbook.
