Ranking the data perfectly

Q : I have the data in sheet1 containing the column of student names, tests and final marks..so how can i automatically make another ranking in the next sheet with just contain student names and their final marks perfectly from number one until the last?

    FIRST SHEET:

    RESULTS

    | NAMES | 1ST TEST | 2ND TEST | 3RD TEST | FINAL MARKS |

i want the second sheet like this..

    SECOND SHEET :

    RANKING

    | RANK | NAMES | FINAL MARKS |

    Anyone here can help me..?

    Attached is an option..

This option assumes you may have more than one person with same final marks and that they are going to be ranked equally...

Note: Formula in Column B is an array formula and is confirmed with CTRL+SHIFT+ETNTER to make it work... then copied down.

Adjust ranges to suit.. you must reconfirm column B formula with CSE keys after changes made.

Shinki, have you ever considered using a data filter to keep track of your student's grades? I include a sample just for fun. I created it with Excel 2007 and saved it as a 2003 file... Good thing about this type of table is that you can sort your students in alphabetical order, you can quickly see who got the highest grade on the 1st test, 2nd, 3rd... All you need is a formula for the averages in the final grade. When you filter for one column all the data adjusts accordingly. Like I said, this is just a fun option. Excel is very versatile!
