    Insert comment

    When I insert a comment in a cell, my corporate version of Excel displays my employee number. How can Code a cell to populate this employee number.

    By default the comment contains the Username in the bold as the first bit of text. So assuming you have no corporate addin doing this the information should be the same as the User name of the application.

    So code like this will display that information in A1

    Produced #NAME? error. The addins are the ones I added: Analysis Toolpak and Analysis Toolpak -VBA.

    how exactly did you use the code. Did you place it in a standard code module somewhere?

    This is a VBA solution not a formula so if you put it straight into a cell then yes it will raise that error.
