Split data from 1 cell into 2 cells

Hi all,

I have a list of first names and surnames, the first name and surname are in one cell together but seperated by a commer.

For example in A1 would be Steve, Jones

What I want to do is have this split into two new cells.

So in A2 I would have his first name and in A3 his surname.

Formula to do this is what I cant get to work.....

To get the first name :
=LEFT(A1,FIND(",",A1)-1)

To get the surname :
=RIGHT(A1,LEN(A1)-FIND(",",A1)-1)

You could also explore the 'Data | Text to columns...' menu item in Excel 2003.
