Combo Box

I am trying to create a box with a drop down list, in a workbook. When I use the Control Toolbox and choose a combo box, then right click on the box, I don't get a "Control" Tab. I get a "Size", "Protection", "Properties" and "Web" Tab, but no "Control" Tab to input the location of my list and a cell link. Have I chosen the wrong type of box for this application?

Have you thought about using Data Validation where you can use a list?

I need a cell link so that I can write formulas based on the item chosen from the drop down box. Can you do that with Data Validation? I thought that had to be done with a combo box.

Yes you can but it is hard to advise you without knowing more about the proposed structure of this part of your model. Attach an example and I or others can offer alternatives/solutions.

I have used another workbook with drop down boxes and when I right click on the drop down box, I get a window with a tab called "Format Control" and that is where the cell link is named. I am trying to set up a worksheet whith drop down boxes like that, where there are several questions with drop down boxes for possible answers. Depending on the answer chosen from the list, a line of text appears instructing the user on his next step. So I need each question to have a list of answers with a cell link containing the answer chosen. Hope that is sufficient info for you to help me. Thanks for your time.
