changing sort priorities

i have to validate information daily from an excel sheet to a program. however the program sorts the information first alphabetically then numerically. excel sorts the opposite giving numeric priority over alphabetic. i need to be able to sort my alphanumeric numbers on excel the way the program is sorting it so the two lists look the same. here is an example of my information and the way excel sorts the info for me. is there a way to sort it giving a-z priority over 0-9?
