    Highlighting cells that are altered?

    Hi All,

I'll be sending out a template to co-workers and I was wondering if there would be anyway to highlight if data that I'm sending out is altered when they send it back to me?

I was hoping conditional formatting could help but I havent been able to find the anwer through that so I was hoping you all might have ideas.

    Thanks!!!

Only way I know of is to have a copy of the data somewhere else to compare to. If you don't want to bother with a separate copy of the data, create a hidden sheet in the template that has the original data in it along with validation that compares its values to the data in the live template. Any altered values can "highlight" on the hidden sheet.

All you would need to do is unhide the sheet and see what's lit up.

you could turn on track changes, but they could turn it back off.but if you turn off highlight changes they wouldnt know, you could turn it back on when you get it back
