Absolute References working with 2 Workbooks

I just upgraded to Excel 2007 and am having trouble pulling cells from one workbook into another, each time I do it, Excel makes it an absolute reference by default. In other words, I type "=SUM(" in book one and click over to book 2 and select cell A1 through A3. Excel automatically writes the equation, "=SUM('Book2'!$A$1:$A$3).

It also does this when selecting a single cell.

Does anyone know how to get this to stop? F2ing into the formula and hitting F4 3x is a real pain and really slows down my work. Excel 2003 never used to do this to me.

    Thanks in advance!
