    Calender table lookup query

    Hi,
I have a table of data that includes dates for buying departments of retailers.
I want to plot this data in a table with the months as columns.
I want to look up (is that my first clue?!) if the path_name is 'review' and add that name under the month in which the review falls (see attached).
If there is no 'review' date, then my next option is 'buying trip' and so on.
The attached file contains two worksheets: 'Critical path query' contains the source data and 'display' is where I want the calender of events.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Graeme

    Thanks for the help.
I need to spend some time understanding the logic - so I might get back on this if that's ok.

    Thanks again,
    2 q's;
    what does Ctrl/Shift/Enter do?

    I don't see what 4+MONTH(INDEX does?

    Cheers,

    Graeme

    Re: Calender table lookup query

    Ok thanks,
    I got the 4+ and the Ctrl/Shift/Enter.
But how do you select the first relevant stage (e.g. Review, Buying trip)?
Or does it default to the first record that fits the match query?

    Cheers,

    Graeme

Yes, match function will return the first match data position.
