Working over picture, listing formulas and data transfer help

hi im very new to using excel so these questions are probable really easy for alot of you.

1st thing id like to know. is there any way to inset a picture (not using the background button coz i dont want to tile the pic) and then be able to work ontop of it?

2nd is there a formula to change the order of a list depending on the number (high to low) in 1 of my other box's

3rd how do i take a result from one page and copy it automaticly to another?

sorry if this is hard to understand but if u have msn i could show you what im trying to do if it makes it any easyer

    thanks for reading =]

    Re: Picture and formula problems

    1. Copy the picture and paste it into your sheet

    2. highlight the information you want to sort, then click on data > sort

    3. click on the cell you want the information to be copied into, type "=", then click on the page you want to copy from, select the cell you want to copy from and then press enter.

    Hope this helps.

In regards to the image, are you also using textboxes on your sheet?

In regards to the data sort, do you mean that there is a table, and you want it to automatically resort everytime more points are added?

Pictures are on a drawing layer above the cells -- you cannot move it behind the cells. The best you can do is add transparency to expose selected cells.

Select the picture, Picture Tools > Format > Adjust group, Recolor, Set transparent color.

Please change your profile to show the version of Excel you use.

Re: Working over picture, listing formulas and data transfer help

ok well heres a pic of how it looks

what i want to do is have a formula in "position" that works out who has the most points, and assign them "position 1", 2nd highest points "position 2" etc etc and if at al possible move the whole row from "D" to "N" and re order accordingly

i hope this makes sense but if ur confused, let me know
