VLOOKUP with the use of INDIREKT

    Hi,

I'm having a several sheets, but similar layout.

I'm trying to write a VLOOKUP like this.

    =VLOOKUP($B$5;INDIRECT("'"&B8&"'!A12:E41");3;FALSE)

B5 = The value of the cell that I am looking for (Football)
B8 = Name of Sheet (OL - Primary production)

When I write it like this, then it works:

    =VLOOKUP($B$5;'OL - Primary production'!A12:E41;3;FALSE)

So what am I doing wrong with the use of INDIRECT?

Nothing immediately obvious... check that the contents of B8 are exactly the same as the sheet name (ie OL - Primary production)... failing that post a sample...
