    number format problem

    Hi,

    I somehow changed a setting in excel and can't fix it.

    If I enter the number 100, it inserts as 0.1
    If I enter 234, it inserts as 2.34

    I went into "numbers" under formating and it is set to 2. If I reset as 0, it doesn't fix the problem. Instead of 2.34, I would get 2.

    The only way I can get it to enter correctly is to put an = sign in front of the number. That is a pain when entering lists of numbers.

    I am using Excel 2008 on a MAC.

    Thanks for any help!!

    Try the following:

    ALT + T -> O -> Advanced -> uncheck "Automatically insert a Decimal Point"
