Hi,
I have created a data validation in a cell using a list. Once this validation is done excel will not allow the user to enter value beyond this list. Is there any option where I can disable this control, but still have the drop down list.

Hi Murali,
Right-click the cell with the Data Validation list and on the Error Alert tab either un-check 'Show error alert after invalid data is entered' or keep it checked but change the Style to 'Information' and type in a message to let the user know that they just entered a value that's not in the list.
