    Can I auto-filter horizontally?

I have several different category-headings running along the top row of my table, with auto-filter applied across each of them, filtering each column down.

If I transpose the data, how can I have the auto-filter run horizontally; instead of having the auto-filter cell on top of a column (with the drop-down containing all of the values underneath it), can I have an auto-filter cell to the left of a row (with the drop-down containing all of the values to the right)?

    Thanks in advance.

Not using the built-in Auto-Filter. It may be possible to achieve the result you want with VBA.

Why not filter the data, then copy and transpose as needed?

    Hi,

A pivot table might be useful in this instance.

Alternatively, have a look at this link.
