formula to work out score based on score system

    Hello,

I want to see if i can make a formula that works out how a player got a score based on a scoring system.

please see the attached file for more details.

I want this to show that the player scored or didn't score, played a full match or was a substitute, was booked or wasn't booked and was sent off or wasn't sent off.

What you are asking is impossible. The combinations that need to be checked would be too daunting a task even for the most complex macro.

Using your example of 21 points

    For a starting goalkeeper.

3 points for starting which would leave 18 point accumulated otherwise. 18 points can be achieved by:

    2 clean sheets for +10
    2 penalty saves for +10
    2 goals conceded for -2

    or

    4 clean sheets for +20
    2 goals conceded for -2

    or

    3 clean sheets for +15
    2 penalty saves for +10
    1 yellow card for -2
    1 red card for -5

    or
    thousands of other possible combinations.

So is that just for my example of 21 or is that just impossible for everything???

It would be impossible for any number.

Sorry to say this but you would be better off just keeping a checklist on a printed sheet of who as done what per game.

If you want to put this on to a spread sheet you can either add each player on a seperate sheet with a result per game or a list by game and in both cases keep a total sheet which can give you current scores per player. using a simple solution with paste spc.

    Cheers,

    Shaec
