Excel 2007 : Problem with Excel 07 not calculating a formula between worksheets.

Working with a workbook with 8+ worksheets modified from Excel 2003. One worksheet has a lot of calculations which reference cells in another worksheet - it's a simple calculation (e.g. G6*1.05).
The problem is the formula doesn't calculate. Identicial formulas in the same column work without a problem. I checked the Trust Center and it's set to perform all calculations - and the other calculations work without a problem. I both copied a working formula and then retyped the formula. Neither worked. I tried F9.
Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you.

delete the cell then reinsert it and try again

I presume the formula is =G6*1.05 ?

If so, do you just see the Formula in the cell, ie =G6*1.05 ?

Thanks to both of you for the responses.

MartinDWilson: I tried this and it works but when I close and reopen the workbook and make a change to the formula (say I change 1.05 to 1.20) Excel doesn't recalculate.

And this is the crux of my problem - the spreadsheet doesn't recalculate automatically when I make a change to a formula.

DonkeyOte: Yes I can see the formula in the cell and it's the same formula as in the cells around the problem one.

What I meant by "can you see the formula in the cell" was, if in fact the cell was formatted to Text such that when edited the cell really contains the formula as an outright text string ?
(rather than as a formula)

For ex. if you select the cell in question, run an Edit -> Replace replacing = with = does it correct itself ?

Thanks for the clarification. I did are you said and it works. Then I saved and closed the workbook, reopened it, changed the formula and once again it didn't recalculate. On a side note, I copied and saved the worksheet as 2003 then ran through series of test - I couldn't replicate the problem. It only happens in this worksheet that has been converted from '03 to '07. It may well be something that simply isn't worth investigating - but if it happens to other's in my organization then I'll have to be able to explain it - if not suggest a resolution.
