    Red face Pivot Table is inserting extra dates

    Example file attached.

    I am trying to create a pivot chart showing details over Mon-Fri each week.

    Despite the fact that in the raw data I have no Sat or Sun information Excel is adding this in by itself.

    Is there a way i can prevent this?

    This isn't a Pivot Issue rather a Chart Issue... you need to change the Axis Type from it's present setting of a Date Axis to that of a Text Axis.
