Custom Views & Protecting Sheets

Hi,

I have created custom views, which include hidden columns, within a spreadsheet to tailor for different users' needs. I have also protected the sheet to ensure complex formulas are not modified.

The problem I have is that when sheet protection is enabled, I come up with the following error when I select the custom view: 'Some view settings could not be applied'.

Is there a way around this that I can have both the sheet protected and be able to use custom views?

My mistake. I thought you were calling the custom views from a macro.

Either way, you must remove the protection before Excel can apply the custom view. You can continue to do so manually or you can use a macro to remove protection and apply the view.
