    Entering data into cells

    Hi all

    I'm building a database which I intend to upload to an ecommerce website. I am retrieving information on some of our products from the manufacturer's website. The information appears on the manufacturer's website as follows:

    Part No : DP9970

    * Description : Disc Pads
    * Manufacturer : Trupart
    * Unit Of Sale : Boxed Set
    * Width (mm): 130
    * Height (mm): 62
    * Thickness (mm): 19
    * Note: 4 pads with top clip

    When I copy and paste this info into excel, it gives each individual line of information a separate cell. I need the information to appear in one cell in order for it to display properly on my website.

    Can anyone give me advice as to how I would accomplish this please?

    Thanks alot

    Aidy

    Re: Entering data into cells

    Try selecting a cell and then pasting into the formula bar instead at the top.

    Re: Hopefully simpler than it seems. Entering data into cells

    After importing, (lets say your data is in Column A), you can use the & to concatenate your values into a single cell. First format the cell alignment to wrap text and then (for example)

    where CHAR(10) creates a new line within the cell. Then Copy and Paste Special Values and delete column A. Does that work for you?

    NBVC, I could kiss you, and kick myself lol. Can't believe I didn't think of trying that.

    Already tried all of the more complicated ways ChemistB, including that one. Unfortunately only the first line of data properly uploads to the website if I use a formula.

    Thanks very much to both of you though.
