Formula to only show active people?

Attached is a test file... I took out all of the unnecessary sheets that don't pertain to what I'm currently looking for. Anyway, on my SALESMEN sheet I have a list of names, with some active and others inactive. On my Sales Rep Tracker sheet, the names currently just pull from the SALESMEN sheet. How can I make it only pull those who are not marked inactive? Also, on the Tracker sheet there are a lot of blank lines to make room for salesmen to be hired. How can I only make enough lines for as many active salesmen I have? As always, thanks in advance.

    Best done by macro

Please Login or Register to view this content.
Open up the VBA editor by hitting ALT F11

Insert a new module by hitting Insert - Module

Paste the macro into the empty sheet

Hit ALT F11 to get back to the worksheet.

Run the macro by going to tools-macro in Excel 2003 or the view ribbon in Excel 2007.

Is there a way to do it without the use of a macro?

Forgot to mention that a blank copy of the repeating part of your second sheet needs to be put in the top left hand corner of a new sheet called 'template'.

The addition of just the names to the second sheet could conceivably be acheived by formula but this would be relatively complex. Its your requirement to just show the appropriate rows which suggests that a simple macro approach is more appropriate.
