Linking student's name to his grade info

I'm a teacher and I'm trying to set up a way so that I can click on a student's name and it will direct me to a page showing only that student's grades. For example, click on "Student A" and have just Student A's information show up on a new page. I've attached a sample of how my gradebook looks now.

I'm thinking you might be able to use an AutoFilter to get what you want...

Using your posted workbook:

Please Login or Register  to view this content.

That will create a dropdown arrow in B3 that lists each student's name

Click on cell B3 and select a name from the list.

The selected student's record will stay visible while the others are hidden

Is that something you can work with?

That works, but is there a way to just click on a student's name to have the same thing happen?

Of course...but, it involves some VBA code.
I attached an edited version of your workbook that has that functionality.
(You'll need to enable Macros when you open the workbook)

To only display one student's grades....click on the name.
To display all students' grades...click on the Grades cell (B2).

To see the programming....
• Right-Click on the Sheet1 tab and select: View Code
