How To Identify Trends From Multiple Factors

    Hi Group,

I have an excel sheet with following format

Please Login or Register to view this content.
My objective is to identify the clusters of factors which together are most frequently appearing together with data point 1.

For eg. To identify if factor 1 + factor 4 + factor 20 has more likelihood of appearing together OR factor 1 + factor 6 + factor 19.

Is it possible to get that information from the excel sheet? Would appreciate any help on that if possible? Is it possible to get that information via access?

    any coding help ???

    Thanks
    Manav

    With 20 factors, there are 2^20 ~ 1M combinations to evaluate. If you're considering only three-somes, then there are a more tractable =COMBIN(20, 3) = 1140 combinations.

You could enumerate the combinations, count the number of apperances using formulas, and sort by number of appearances.
