    Dear Sir,
    In excel 2003 i need to know the formula to see week number of current month and current year.

    A1 is the date of the thursday of this week.

    Example: Today sunday 22 nov 2009
    Thurday of this week was 19 nov 2009 (=A1)

    Note that we start the week with a monday.

    Assuming Sunday is the start of the week and 1st January is the start of the year.

    Exactly my point. Your solution is 48 where mine is 47. MS WEEKNUM() is according USA.

    That's not the point. It's more about: if the first day of the year is, say, a Wednesday, is that "half week" treated as week 1 or week 0? That's what different countries do in a different way. Some count the first "full" week as week 1 only, others regard the week with the 1/Jan as week 1

    Yes Sir,
    Here with us is the first full week is number (week 1) that starts from first Sunday till Saturday.
